The more personality (of any kind!) the better and I’ll be able to capture exactly what it is that makes them them! With over 15 years of experience as a photographer, and more as a mother and teacher, I’ve seen enough to know that kids will be kids. And that’s what makes them so great!

An artist and mother who gets it. And gets you.
Mom of 8 and a teacher, I know that kids are real and life is real but I also know that everything looks better in pictures (“You think the kids are cute? You should see the pictures!”) and by creating the space for your child’s personality to shine through I give you that gift of hindsight that will allow the joy and beauty of childhood to last forever.

I meet them where they are.
No performing. No smiling because Mommy said so. I work with your child, creating a safe and warm environment and give them the space to just be. I capture not just what your child looks like, but what they feel like and who they are. No generic smile-at-the-camera portraits here. They will smile because they will want to, not because you told them to. By keeping every session calm and designed around your child I can get that connection that is always there and that little spark that makes them unique come through in a way that will make your heart melt. A difference that makes all the difference.

No more stressful sessions where no one behaves, someone gets dirty right away, the tween is grumbling and you’re frantically trying to salvage your dignity and hope the photographer doesn’t delete you from their contacts. Instead, I’ll hold your hand (and deal with your kids!) through all of it, the what-to-wear deciding, the session, the choosing and designing your artwork and won’t rest until that final artwork is a part of your home and you can’t wipe that smile off your face or the tears from your eyes. Years from now, these won’t just be the pictures you hung on the wall. They’ll be the faces and little expressions you want to remember long after childhood has changed.

You know that you want something beautiful and something you will actually enjoy even while doing it. And that is what I give you. A session you will enjoy and images you will love! Capture the person your child really is, the delightful bits of their personality that get lost in the day to day, the magic of childhood that is so easy to forget is there, that you will one day think back on and say, I wish I could have preserved that somehow.
